As Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning, you will play a pivotal role in driving academic excellence and professional development across the school. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the teaching and learning strategy across the school.
  • Support the Principal in the day-to-day leadership and management of the school.
  • Develop and implement professional development programs for staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across all departments.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high expectations.
  • Ensure that safeguarding and welfare policies are upheld and promoted throughout the school.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and long-term vision of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and pedagogy.
  • Experience in driving improvement and raising standards in teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organization.
  • Background in professional development and staff training.
  • Experience in school improvement and Ofsted inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of current educational research and best practice in teaching and learning.
