The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Key Stage 2/3 Teacher to join our secondary SEND department and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development. This role offers the chance to use primary teaching expertise in a new and rewarding context, supporting students with special educational needs in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 2/3 students.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated SEND class, ensuring consistent and fair learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing targeted interventions where needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive and engaging curricula.
  • Promote a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Work closely with parents and external professionals to support student well-being and development.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with primary training experience.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to child-centred, interactive teaching methods.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stage 2/3.

Preferred

  • Experience in a secondary SEND department.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with assessment and tracking student progress.
