The Opportunity:

As an Associate Lecturer in Sport, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across sport and sport science programmes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across sport and sport science programmes at levels 2 and 3.
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge in sport and physical education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
  • Contribute to the development of course content and assessment strategies.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including coaching within the school’s leading Sport Academy.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in sport, physical education, or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching sport or PE to 16-18 year-olds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience in higher education or further education settings.
  • Coaching experience within a sports academy or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with sport science principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
