The Opportunity:
As an Attendance Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's mission to improve student attendance and punctuality. You will work closely with students and families to promote a positive attitude towards education and ensure that parents understand their responsibilities regarding attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor student attendance records to identify patterns and address persistent absence.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote positive attendance behaviors.
- Provide support and guidance to families to help them understand the importance of regular school attendance.
- Collaborate with other school departments to ensure a coordinated approach to improving attendance.
- Maintain accurate records and report attendance data to relevant stakeholders.
- Organize and deliver attendance-related training or information sessions for parents and students.
- Support the school in raising achievement through improved attendance and punctuality.
- Work closely with the Multi-Academy Trust to align attendance strategies with broader educational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in attendance or administrative roles.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of statutory responsibilities related to school attendance.
- Commitment to student welfare and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organization.
- Knowledge of attendance policies and procedures in schools.
- Experience with data management systems or attendance tracking software.
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs or additional needs.
