The Opportunity:

This role involves teaching power systems, avionics, and electronics, while supporting students through pastoral care and curriculum development. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach avionics, power systems, and electronics to 16–18 year-olds on BTEC and City & Guilds T-level programmes
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to a cohort of students, maintaining regular communication with parents and carers
- Contribute to the development and verification of the curriculum
- Participate in celebration and guidance events to support student achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality learning experience
- Engage in professional development and industry training opportunities
- Support students in achieving their academic and career goals
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant industry experience in aviation electronics or electrical power systems
- Proven teaching experience, particularly in avionics and electronics
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide pastoral support
- Commitment to student success and professional development
Preferred
- Experience with BTEC or T-level programmes
- Background in aeronautical industry training or education
- Familiarity with live virtual hangar and electronic training facilities
- Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance
