The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Co-Deputy Head of Pre-Prep and Class Teacher to lead and inspire within a dynamic and ambitious school environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape the direction of a thriving school while also teaching a reduced timetable in Year 1. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and forward-thinking leader with a commitment to high-quality learning and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop teams, supporting academic and pastoral leadership within the school.
  • Work closely with the Head and wider pre-prep leadership team to drive standards and ensure the highest outcomes for children.
  • Inspire and motivate staff, contributing to whole-school priorities and initiatives.
  • Teach a reduced timetable, initially in Year 1, while maintaining a high standard of classroom practice.
  • Support the school’s mission to develop a real love of learning and build strong character in children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a nurturing and inclusive school culture.
  • Contribute to the continued success of a school known for its strong academic ethos and warm, familial approach.
  • Ensure the implementation of the school’s values and virtues across all aspects of the role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong track record in primary education with proven leadership experience.
  • Outstanding leadership practice and ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Commitment to high-quality learning and teaching.
  • Experience in a school environment with a focus on character development and academic excellence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to whole-school priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a pre-prep or primary setting.
  • Familiarity with the school’s ethos and values, including a commitment to virtue ethics and character development.
  • Experience with teaching younger children and managing a reduced timetable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection procedures.
