Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Biology lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school's academic standards.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to Biology and science.
  • Support students through pastoral care and mentorship as part of the school community.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Biology and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practice.
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of laboratory facilities and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Biology education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology and the ability to teach across all key stages.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and a willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering A Level Biology or equivalent.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular science activities or clubs.
  • Experience with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching.
  • Previous experience in a boarding or independent school environment.
