Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Biology lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school's academic standards.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to Biology and science.
- Support students through pastoral care and mentorship as part of the school community.
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Biology and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practice.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of laboratory facilities and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Biology education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology and the ability to teach across all key stages.
- Commitment to the school’s values and a willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering A Level Biology or equivalent.
- Involvement in extra-curricular science activities or clubs.
- Experience with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching.
- Previous experience in a boarding or independent school environment.
