The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that inspire student engagement and achievement.
- Develop and implement a broad and ambitious curriculum that promotes language skills and cultural understanding.
- Contribute to the development of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) curriculum.
- Support students in developing fluency, resilience, and independence in all four language skills.
- Participate in a vibrant extra-curricular programme, including language clubs and cultural activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Spanish.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish language and culture.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and student achievement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching other languages such as French, Mandarin, Portuguese, or Latin.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
- Experience with trainee teacher mentorship or professional development.
