Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons that inspire student engagement and achievement.
  • Develop and implement a broad and ambitious curriculum that promotes language skills and cultural understanding.
  • Contribute to the development of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) curriculum.
  • Support students in developing fluency, resilience, and independence in all four language skills.
  • Participate in a vibrant extra-curricular programme, including language clubs and cultural activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Spanish.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish language and culture.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching other languages such as French, Mandarin, Portuguese, or Latin.
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
  • Experience with trainee teacher mentorship or professional development.
