The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons that promote physical wellbeing, teamwork, and leadership.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Sports, Exercise and Health Science.
- Support students in developing confidence and achieving success across a range of sports and activities.
- Participate in and lead extra-curricular sports activities, including fixtures, clubs, and inter-house competitions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student experience in Physical Education.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s wider educational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching Physical Education at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of sports and physical activity, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and student wellbeing.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum design or development.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Experience in leading or managing extra-curricular sports activities.
- Previous experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational environment.
- Ability to support trainee teachers and contribute to professional development.
