The Opportunity:

A Biology Teacher - Maternity Cover is needed to teach across all Key Stages, including A Level. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Biology teacher to join a supportive and high-achieving team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology across all Key Stages, including A Level, with a focus on student engagement and academic success.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that reflect the school’s commitment to excellence and student development.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised guidance and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and curriculum resources.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that reflects the school’s core values of Aspire, Act, and Achieve.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the wider educational community.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, ensuring their well-being and academic progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and support strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Biology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Biology at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to the school’s core values of Aspire, Act, and Achieve.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers or in a leadership role within a school.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the school’s values and ethos.
  • Experience in supporting students with additional needs or those requiring pastoral care.
