Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 4 students in Psychology and Sociology.
  • Support student progress through targeted assessment, feedback, and instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Social Sciences department and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the A Level curriculum.
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Social Sciences and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and Sociology.
  • Experience in teaching Social Sciences at the secondary level.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Proficiency in using IT and educational technology for lesson planning and delivery.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering A Level courses in Social Sciences.
