The Opportunity:

As a Boarding House Manager, you will lead and support the wellbeing of Year 11 and Sixth Form Girls. You will create a warm and structured environment that encourages independence, resilience, and academic ambition. This role is essential in shaping young women's development during their final years at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the daily operations of the Year 11 and Sixth Form Girls' Boarding House.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive, and structured environment that supports student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding and boarding regulations and legislation.
  • Support students in developing key adult skills such as independence, resilience, and academic ambition.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive community.
  • Oversee and maintain the boarding house facilities to ensure they meet high standards.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement boarding policies and procedures that align with the school’s values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a boarding or pastoral leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience working with senior girls or in a school setting.
  • Teaching qualifications or experience in teaching.
  • Knowledge of UK boarding regulations and legislation.
  • Experience in managing a team and leading a boarding house.
