Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English across a range of ages and abilities, with a focus on both English Language and English Literature.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support students' academic progress and personal development through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Participate in the school's strong Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Manage classroom resources and ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education.
  • Ability to teach English Language and/or English Literature at A-Level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student success and professional development.
  • Experience working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
  • Background in delivering high-quality CPD sessions or training.
  • Experience in a school that is part of a multi-academy trust (MAT).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
