The Opportunity:

As a Music Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing the musical talents of girls aged 3 to 18. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic musician to contribute to a vibrant and dynamic music department. You will support classroom music, assist with rehearsals and ensembles, and take an active part in the school’s co-curricular programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of classroom music across the Prep and Senior phases.
• Assist with rehearsals, ensembles, and performances for concerts and productions.
• Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by leading small groups and inspiring pupils.
• Help prepare for and perform in musical events under the guidance of the Director of Music.
• Provide pastoral support and assistance to the residential team for flexi-boarders.
• Utilise practical skills in music technology and production where applicable.
• Engage with pupils of all abilities and encourage creativity and confidence through music.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the music programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A graduate qualification in Music or a related field.
• Strong practical skills in either instrumental, vocal, or both.
• A genuine passion for music and teaching.
• Experience working with children and a commitment to pastoral care.
• Willingness to participate in all aspects of school life and co-curricular activities.

Preferred

• Experience with music technology and production.
• Creative social media skills.
• Previous experience in teaching or education.
• Experience in arts administration or event management.
