The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join its Upper School team. This role involves teaching IB DP Chemistry and MYP Science, with the opportunity to shape young minds in a dynamic and innovative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based instruction in IB DP Chemistry and MYP Science.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and academic success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Provide meaningful and timely feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Integrate technology effectively to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Chemistry or a closely related subject, or a Bachelor of Education.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or international equivalent).
  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
  • Experience teaching at the secondary level, with a focus on science education.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IB DP Chemistry and MYP Science.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using Apple technology.
  • Experience working in an international school environment.
  • A proven ability to integrate technology into teaching practices.
