The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Business and Economics Teacher to join our team and inspire Sixth Form students. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative learning environment while supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A Level Economics and/or Business to Sixth Form students with a focus on engaging and interactive learning.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that reflect the latest developments in the subject and promote critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and wider Sherborne Schools Group to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the curriculum, including the use of innovative teaching methods and resources.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that enrich the student experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching A Level Economics and/or Business.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting that values innovation and personal development.
- Familiarity with the Sherborne Schools Group and its educational philosophy.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Strong leadership and team-working abilities.
