The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Business and Economics Teacher to join our team and inspire Sixth Form students. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative learning environment while supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A Level Economics and/or Business to Sixth Form students with a focus on engaging and interactive learning.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that reflect the latest developments in the subject and promote critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and wider Sherborne Schools Group to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the curriculum, including the use of innovative teaching methods and resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that enrich the student experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching A Level Economics and/or Business.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting that values innovation and personal development.
  • Familiarity with the Sherborne Schools Group and its educational philosophy.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team-working abilities.
