The Opportunity:
The Head of Lacrosse will lead and develop a comprehensive lacrosse programme, supporting both participation and performance. This role is central to delivering a high-quality sports experience and inspiring the next generation of lacrosse players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a lacrosse programme that caters to all levels of participation and performance.
- Coordinate coaching staff and facilities to ensure consistent quality and support.
- Create and maintain unified pathways for student athletes to progress in lacrosse.
- Promote and grow the lacrosse programme across the school and wider group.
- Inspire and coach students to achieve their full potential in lacrosse and beyond.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to integrate lacrosse into the broader school experience.
- Ensure compliance with safety and welfare standards in all lacrosse-related activities.
- Represent the school at external events and competitions as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a lacrosse coach and leader at a senior level.
- Strong understanding of lacrosse coaching methodologies and player development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of sports pathway development and talent identification.
- Experience with both competitive and recreational lacrosse programmes.
- Leadership experience in a sports or academic environment.
