As a Part Time Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality sports programme that supports the development of young athletes. You will coach a range of sports and help students achieve their potential in both academic and sporting pursuits. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality coaching in a variety of sports including Lacrosse, Hockey, Netball, Cricket, and Tennis.
- Support students in preparing for and participating in competitive fixtures according to their ability.
- Foster a passion for sport and encourage a positive, inclusive sporting culture.
- Work collaboratively with the wider sports team and across the school community.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s sporting reputation at both local and national levels.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during sports activities.
- Plan and deliver sessions that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with the school’s values.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant coaching qualifications or experience in sports coaching.
- Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the values of the school, including curiosity, courage, compassion, adaptability, and spirituality.
- Ability to work flexibly and support the needs of the school and wider group.
Preferred
- Experience in coaching girls’ sports teams.
- Experience with competitive fixtures and tournament organisation.
- Knowledge of sports development and talent identification.
- Experience working within a boarding or independent school environment.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
