The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Business & Economics Teacher to join our experienced Electives team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the curriculum and deliver high-quality education at GCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced Economist and contribute to a supportive and collaborative teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Business & Economics lessons at GCSE and A Level
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Business curriculum
- Support student learning through innovative and engaging teaching methods
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly
- Participate in departmental meetings and staff development activities
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business & Economics
- Experience teaching Business at GCSE and A Level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student success and academic achievement
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development
- Experience with teaching Economics
- Familiarity with independent school environments
- Experience with using digital tools in the classroom
- Evidence of professional development or continuing education
