The Opportunity:

As a Business Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for managing the school’s business operations and ensuring efficient delivery of support services. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on student outcomes and school performance in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across finance, HR, operations, and compliance
  • Manage the school budget and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee HR processes, including staff recruitment and development
  • Ensure the safe and efficient management of school facilities, health and safety, and risk
  • Lead and support staff teams in finance, administration, and site management
  • Support governance and compliance, including procurement and policy development
  • Work closely with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement and school effectiveness
  • Ensure all non-teaching functions align with the school’s vision and strategic goals

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of financial management, HR practices, and school operations
  • Experience in managing budgets and delivering financial reports
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success

Preferred

  • Experience in a school business management role within a multi-academy trust
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance procedures
  • Experience with policy development and procurement processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
