The Opportunity:
As a Business Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for managing the school’s business operations and ensuring efficient delivery of support services. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across finance, HR, operations, and compliance
- Manage the school budget and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Oversee HR processes, including staff recruitment and development
- Ensure the safe and efficient management of school facilities, health and safety, and risk
- Lead and support staff teams in finance, administration, and site management
- Support governance and compliance, including procurement and policy development
- Work closely with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement and school effectiveness
- Ensure all non-teaching functions align with the school’s vision and strategic goals
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an educational setting
- Strong understanding of financial management, HR practices, and school operations
- Experience in managing budgets and delivering financial reports
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and student success
Preferred
- Experience in a school business management role within a multi-academy trust
- Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance procedures
- Experience with policy development and procurement processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for social mobility and improving student outcomes
