The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Form Teacher and PE Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young students. This role offers the chance to lead a form group of around 24 children, while delivering high-quality Girls’ Games lessons. You will be a key member of a collaborative team, working in a modern, inspiring setting that values both academic achievement and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and deliver weekly/daily programmes of learning using a variety of teaching methods.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports all children’s learning needs.
- Provide extension opportunities for more able students and support for those requiring additional assistance.
- Assess and record student progress to inform teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes.
- Set clear, achievable targets for student development based on prior attainment.
- Liaise with and manage the work of the Teaching and Learning Assistant.
- Maintain high standards in student work through effective displays and feedback.
- Report student progress to parents through formal and informal communication.
- Collaborate with Key Stage Leaders, Learning Support staff, and other colleagues to support student development.
- Deliver high-quality PE and Girls’ Games lessons, promoting physical activity and teamwork.
- Integrate IT and mobile technologies into the teaching and learning process.
- Organise and manage educational visits and school events.
- Support the pastoral care of students and contribute to their overall well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Key Stage 2 education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to pastoral care and student well-being.
- Experience in delivering PE and Girls’ Games lessons.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and independent school teaching approaches.
Preferred
- Experience with independent school environments.
- Knowledge of PSHE and character development.
- Experience in leading and managing a form group.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
- Experience in staff development and training.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £32,949 - £45,392 per annum.
