The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Form Teacher and PE Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young students. This role offers the chance to lead a form group of around 24 children, while delivering high-quality Girls’ Games lessons. You will be a key member of a collaborative team, working in a modern, inspiring setting that values both academic achievement and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and deliver weekly/daily programmes of learning using a variety of teaching methods.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports all children’s learning needs.
  • Provide extension opportunities for more able students and support for those requiring additional assistance.
  • Assess and record student progress to inform teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes.
  • Set clear, achievable targets for student development based on prior attainment.
  • Liaise with and manage the work of the Teaching and Learning Assistant.
  • Maintain high standards in student work through effective displays and feedback.
  • Report student progress to parents through formal and informal communication.
  • Collaborate with Key Stage Leaders, Learning Support staff, and other colleagues to support student development.
  • Deliver high-quality PE and Girls’ Games lessons, promoting physical activity and teamwork.
  • Integrate IT and mobile technologies into the teaching and learning process.
  • Organise and manage educational visits and school events.
  • Support the pastoral care of students and contribute to their overall well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Key Stage 2 education.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Experience in delivering PE and Girls’ Games lessons.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and independent school teaching approaches.

Preferred

  • Experience with independent school environments.
  • Knowledge of PSHE and character development.
  • Experience in leading and managing a form group.
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • Experience in staff development and training.
