The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to curriculum development, and inspiring students to achieve academic success. The successful candidate will also support pastoral care and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 students.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality, future-focused curriculum.
  • Support student progress through targeted teaching and individualised learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and promoting positive student behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training to maintain high standards of teaching.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance student engagement and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with specialist knowledge in Business Studies up to GCSE level.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy and varied timetable.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Willingness to take on pastoral responsibilities, including acting as a Form Tutor.
  • Ability to interpret and use school data to support student progress.
  • Professional and reliable with a commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of work.

Preferred

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and further study.
  • Strong administrative skills and knowledge of curriculum developments.
  • Experience in extracurricular activity planning and delivery.
  • Reflective practitioner with a commitment to continual improvement and shared learning.
