Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a Reception class in line with the school’s vision and values.
  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching that meets the diverse needs of Early Years children.
  • Plan, prepare, assess, and report on student progress in accordance with professional standards.
  • Promote positive behaviour management and contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and governors to support student learning and development.
  • Participate in professional development and appraisal processes to continually improve teaching practice.
  • Maintain strong relationships with teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and governors.
  • Uphold the professional standards and code of conduct for qualified teachers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Early Years experience.
  • Experience in teaching Early Years Foundation Stage children.
  • Familiarity with the latest School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school trust or collaborative educational environment.
  • Experience with curriculum design and assessment strategies for Early Years learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
