Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to Key Stage 3 students, with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics.
- Teach one of these subjects at A Level, if applicable.
- Support the continued improvement of student outcomes and progress across all key stages.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging and innovative Science curriculum.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with strong subject knowledge.
- Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3.
- A specialism in Chemistry or Physics.
- Confident and engaging classroom presence.
- Commitment to student progress and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Chemistry or Physics.
- Ability to lead and develop extra-curricular Science activities.
- Experience working in an inclusive and supportive school environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
