Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the school community to achieve excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve school performance, including academic achievement, pastoral care, and staff development.
  • Oversee the management of school finances, health and safety, safeguarding, and staffing.
  • Ensure the school maintains its high standards and continues to deliver outstanding results across all key performance measures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all areas of school life.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and staff to support the school’s strategic goals and vision.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos, ensuring they are embedded in all aspects of school life.
  • Represent the school externally, engaging with parents, local communities, and other educational institutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a senior leader in education, with a track record of successful school improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of school leadership, including curriculum, teaching and learning, safeguarding, and financial management.
  • Experience in managing large teams and leading high-performing staff.
  • A deep understanding of school improvement and Ofsted standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a similar size, intake, and academic profile.
  • A background in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience in leading a school with a strong pastoral care programme.
  • Familiarity with the use of data to drive school improvement.
