The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Business Studies Teacher to join a dedicated team. This role involves teaching the BTEC Extended Certificate in Applied Business and potentially supporting A Level Business Studies. The successful candidate will inspire students and deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons that promote academic success and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the BTEC Extended Certificate in Applied Business, covering units such as Marketing, Personal Business Finance, and Recruitment and Selection Processes.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based lessons that engage and challenge all learners.
  • Support the teaching of A Level Business Studies where required.
  • Collaborate with a strong, supportive team of Business Studies teachers.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Business Studies curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and other professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Business Studies at Post-16 level.
  • Strong knowledge of the BTEC Extended Certificate in Applied Business (Pearson) and A Level Business Studies.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons.
  • Experience working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or teaching a diverse student cohort.
  • Flexibility to support both BTEC and A Level courses as required.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
