The Opportunity:
As a Business Support Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school by managing daily cover arrangements and supporting staffing logistics. This position is essential to maintaining teaching continuity and the efficient running of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage daily cover arrangements to ensure minimal disruption to teaching and learning.
- Act as the primary contact for the Bromcom MIS, maintaining accurate scheduling and communication with staff and stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage staffing logistics, ensuring all resources are effectively utilised.
- Produce accurate and timely reports to support school operations and leadership decision-making.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding protocols and maintain the highest standards of student welfare.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team to support the school’s administrative needs.
- Manage a diverse and varied workload with strong organisational and time management skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 GCSEs including 9 - 4 in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a busy administration environment.
- Experience of managing own workload and monitoring performance.
- Experience of working in a school or similar environment.
- Experience of using Bromcom or similar MIS system.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
Preferred
- Experience of producing accurate and timely reports.
- Experience of working with leadership teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience of further training and development in administrative or educational settings.
- Experience of working with the Believe Learning Institute or similar professional development organisations.
- Experience of managing complex logistical arrangements in a school setting.
