Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals to students and staff in a timely and efficient manner
• Set up and clean dining areas to maintain a welcoming and hygienic environment
• Operate tills and prepare food items such as sandwiches
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service and support equal opportunities in the workplace
• Assist with the storage and organisation of food and kitchen supplies
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and dining area at all times
• Support the team in delivering a high-quality catering service

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in food preparation and service, ideally in a school or catering environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, customer-focused environment
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school catering role
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations
• Experience with Till operations and food service software
• Flexibility to work term time only plus INSET days
