The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and supportive RE department as a Teacher of RE - Maternity Cover. This role is ideal for an experienced or newly qualified teacher who is passionate about Religious Education and committed to student progress and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated RE curriculum to students aged 11-16
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and enjoyment
  • Inspire and motivate students through high-quality teaching and learning
  • Encourage independent and collaborative learning among students
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and learning materials to support student progress
  • Work in line with the school’s Catholic values and ethos
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the department
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Religious Education
  • Experience in teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Commitment to student progress and engagement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the school community

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures
