The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and inspiring Business Teacher and BTEC Lead to join its BTEC Faculty and Secondary School. This role offers the opportunity to lead BTEC qualifications and deliver high-quality Business education to students. The successful candidate will be a key figure in shaping the academic and pastoral development of students and contributing to the school’s continued excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the BTEC Business qualification pathway, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and student needs.
• Deliver engaging and innovative Business lessons to students at all levels, including A Level.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the professional development of staff and enhance teaching practices.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress using data to inform teaching and support strategies.
• Contribute to the school’s pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the development of extra-curricular activities and student leadership opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, with a focus on student achievement and personal growth.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to implement school-wide strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good honours degree.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), preferably from the UK.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching Business or related subjects.
• Ability to teach Business up to A Level.
• Experience in leading BTEC qualifications.
• Strong understanding of data-driven teaching and learning practices.

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Experience in a British curriculum school.
• Familiarity with the International Schools Partnership (ISP) framework.
• Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing support.
