The Opportunity:
As a Careers Advisor Higher Education UCAS and Alumni Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the UCAS application process for Year 13 students. This position is vital in ensuring a smooth and supportive application journey, helping students achieve their goals and transition successfully into higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the UCAS application process for Year 13 students, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students throughout the application process.
- Coordinate with the Head of the Student Support Hub to maintain high standards of quality control.
- Liaise with external institutions and alumni to build strong relationships and support student transitions.
- Organise and deliver careers advice sessions and events for students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress through the application process.
- Support the development of alumni engagement initiatives to enhance student outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all UCAS and institutional policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing UCAS applications and supporting students through the higher education application process.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with 16–19 year olds in an educational setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Preferred
- Experience in alumni engagement or careers advisory work.
- Familiarity with higher education admissions processes and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Knowledge of professional development opportunities for staff.
