The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs through individualized learning strategies and pastoral care.
  • Deliver targeted maths interventions to improve student attainment and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop inclusive and effective learning plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them navigate academic and personal challenges.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in learning support and special educational needs.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and initiatives focused on student well-being and academic success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in maths teaching and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and SEN support strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
  • Previous experience in a mentorship or leadership role.
