The Opportunity:

As a Careers Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of students by leading and developing a comprehensive careers programme. This role is ideal for someone passionate about empowering young people to explore and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a whole-school careers programme with a focus on disadvantaged students
  • Provide personalised guidance to Key Stages 4 and 5 students to support their transition to post-16 and post-18 destinations
  • Expand and enhance careers events and information-sharing to inspire students about future opportunities
  • Build and grow an alumni network to connect students with real-life role models
  • Ensure the careers programme meets Gatsby benchmarks and continues to evolve
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate careers education into the curriculum
  • Support students in making informed decisions about their future pathways
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of the careers programme on student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in careers guidance or a related field
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective careers programmes
  • Commitment to supporting disadvantaged students
  • Experience working with young people at Key Stages 4 and 5

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and managing alumni networks
  • Familiarity with Gatsby benchmarks and careers education standards
  • Background in education, recruitment, or industry
  • Strong understanding of post-16 and post-18 pathways
  • Experience with virtual careers events or online engagement strategies
