Key Responsibilities:
- Support the leadership and strategic development of the Business Studies department
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching to Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form students
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student learning outcomes
- Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of high-quality lessons
- Mentor and support junior staff within the department
- Promote a strong co-curricular ethos and encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies
- Proven experience in teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a school department
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
