Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the leadership and strategic development of the Business Studies department
  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching to Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student learning outcomes
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of high-quality lessons
  • Mentor and support junior staff within the department
  • Promote a strong co-curricular ethos and encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business Studies
  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within a school department
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
