The Opportunity:

As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the school environment and ensuring the safety and comfort of students and staff. This is a chance to make a real impact in a supportive and welcoming school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of school buildings and grounds.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the school site at all times.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of school facilities and equipment.
  • Support the daily operations of the school, including managing access and visitor control.
  • Collaborate with the site team to deliver a high standard of service.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Promote a positive and welcoming environment for all students and staff.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
  • Experience in a caretaker or similar role, or willingness to train.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience with basic maintenance and repair tasks.
  • A clean and valid DBS certificate.
