The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to maintain and support the school environment. This role ensures the building is safe, welcoming, and well-kept, contributing to the overall experience of students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the building, grounds, and facilities to a high standard.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Support maintenance schedules and contribute to improvement projects.
  • Assist with security duties and manage access to the site.
  • Provide efficient support services to students, staff, and community groups.
  • Implement and maintain systems and procedures for site management.
  • Use initiative and work collaboratively with the school team.
  • Undertake practical tasks and DIY projects as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Practical, hands-on individual with strong DIY skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Experience in maintenance, grounds, or facilities management.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience with building maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
