The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of science lessons by preparing and maintaining equipment, materials, and resources.
  • Ensure all laboratory and teaching areas are safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with teachers to understand curriculum needs and provide timely support.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as required to maintain effective teaching and learning.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of practical science activities.
  • Provide technical support during lessons and extracurricular science events.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of science teaching and learning through feedback and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in a science or technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of science equipment, laboratory safety procedures, and practical teaching techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in a University Technical College or similar institution.
  • Familiarity with the curriculum and teaching methods used in technical and vocational education.
  • Experience with health and safety regulations in a school or educational setting.
