The Opportunity:

As an Estates Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining safe, compliant, and high-quality learning environments across all sites. This is a vital position that supports the school’s mission to provide the best possible educational experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory requirements, and building management standards.
  • Manage maintenance programmes, contractors, and site-related contracts effectively.
  • Lead procurement for estates projects and evaluate quotes for cost and quality.
  • Implement and maintain Trust-wide estates and compliance systems.
  • Carry out routine audits in estates, health & safety, and security.
  • Liaise with external agencies, PFI partners, and service providers.
  • Provide operational support, including site access and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and professional values across all sites.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in estates, facilities, compliance, or operational support roles.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and ICT skills.
  • Ability to manage contractors and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and COSHH regulations.
  • Professional, reliable, and capable of working across multiple sites.

Preferred

  • IOSH/NEBOSH or estates-related qualifications.
