The Opportunity:

As a Catering Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of two key school outlets, ensuring a welcoming and compliant environment that aligns with the school’s values. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, retail, and leadership, with a strong understanding of food safety and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the TAP and Rowlands Sweet Shop, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and product presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food safety regulations, and school safeguarding policies at all times.
  • Manage ordering, stock control, deliveries, and inventory for both outlets while minimising waste and controlling costs.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, creating rotas that meet operational needs and promote a positive team culture.
  • Maintain all required health and safety, food hygiene, and risk assessment documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in bar, hospitality, or retail management.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Confident communication skills and a professional, approachable manner.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school, college, or community setting.
  • Personal Licence Holder.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
  • Experience in managing both alcohol service and retail outlets.
