The Opportunity:
As a Dining Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional dining experience for all. Your work will support the school’s mission to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and service of food in the dining facility.
- Ensure continuous and efficient service during all meal times.
- Operate the dishwasher in accordance with safety protocols when required.
- Clean and maintain all equipment, utensils, and working areas to meet hygiene standards.
- Uphold health and safety procedures at all times.
- Attend training and meetings as requested.
- Undertake other duties as needed to support the smooth running of the dining service.
- Comply with all safeguarding and confidentiality procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a dining or hospitality environment.
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing demands.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
- Experience with using dishwashing equipment and following safe systems of work.
