The Opportunity:

As a Dining Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional dining experience for all. Your work will support the school’s mission to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and service of food in the dining facility.
  • Ensure continuous and efficient service during all meal times.
  • Operate the dishwasher in accordance with safety protocols when required.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment, utensils, and working areas to meet hygiene standards.
  • Uphold health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Attend training and meetings as requested.
  • Undertake other duties as needed to support the smooth running of the dining service.
  • Comply with all safeguarding and confidentiality procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a dining or hospitality environment.
  • Experience with cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing demands.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
  • Experience with using dishwashing equipment and following safe systems of work.
