The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Chemistry, Physics, and Biology Teacher to join a fast-growing online school. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' learning through engaging online teaching and the use of cutting-edge Edtech tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry, Physics, and/or Biology to students aged 11–18 in a remote, online environment.
  • Deliver interactive and engaging lessons that stimulate student progress and understanding.
  • Create and collate high-quality learning resources tailored for online delivery.
  • Support students with special educational needs and mental health challenges in a virtual classroom.
  • Apply a range of teaching techniques that maximise the potential of the online learning environment.
  • Engage students from diverse backgrounds and ensure inclusive learning experiences.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of assessment requirements and principles of assessment for learning.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment through one-to-one mentoring and group interactions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in online education and technology.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching the secondary age range (11–18).
  • Experience teaching groups of students in a virtual or classroom environment.
  • Strong diagnostic ability and a passion for guiding student learning.
  • Understanding of assessment requirements and assessment for learning.
  • Ability to engage students from varied backgrounds.
  • Belief in the value of learning from home and flipped learning models.
  • Competence in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A level, with the ability to teach Physics and/or Biology.
  • Knowledge of Edexcel International GCSE or A-level CIE specifications.
  • Proven experience in creating highly engaging online learning content.
  • Experience with innovative use of technology to stimulate engagement and improve learning outcomes.
