Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11–18, both part-time and full-time.
- Create and curate engaging online learning resources aligned with GCSE and A-level specifications.
- Support students with SEND and mental health needs through tailored strategies in a virtual classroom.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and progress.
- Utilize technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver innovative online learning content.
- Participate in mentoring and pastoral support initiatives where appropriate.
- Ensure all assessments and feedback align with learning objectives and support student development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching the secondary age range (11–18).
- Experience teaching groups of students in a virtual or classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of assessment for learning and diagnostic teaching strategies.
- Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to flipped learning and online education.
- Experience in creating and collating resources for online delivery.
Preferred
- Experience teaching English at GCSE and A-level.
- Knowledge of Edexcel International GCSE or A-level CIE specifications.
- Proven ability to use technology creatively in online teaching.
- Experience in developing highly engaging learning content for online delivery.
