The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher (Chemistry) to join a dynamic and growing school community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages, with a focus on Chemistry at A-Level.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes excellence and meets the needs of all students.
  • Support student progress through individualised feedback, assessment, and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices across the school.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives and leadership opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
  • Ability to teach Chemistry at A-Level and across Key Stages.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision of "Excellence for All."
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-ethnic, coeducational school setting.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the school.
  • Experience with professional development and training initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience working within a school trust or multi-academy arrangement.
