The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher (Chemistry) to join a dynamic and growing school community. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons at A-Level. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages, with a focus on Chemistry at A-Level.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes excellence and meets the needs of all students.
- Support student progress through individualised feedback, assessment, and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices across the school.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives and leadership opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
- Ability to teach Chemistry at A-Level and across Key Stages.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
- Commitment to the school’s vision of "Excellence for All."
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-ethnic, coeducational school setting.
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the school.
- Experience with professional development and training initiatives.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience working within a school trust or multi-academy arrangement.
