Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons at KS3 and Chemistry at KS4 and KS5.
- Promote a culture of behaviour, character, and academic rigour in line with the school’s values.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
- Support student progress through evidence-informed instruction and regular assessment.
- Participate in departmental planning, CPD, and professional development.
- Engage in enrichment activities and extracurricular science projects.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Work closely with students and parents to support individual learning and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with experience in teaching Science at KS3 and Chemistry at KS4 and KS5.
- Commitment to a warm/strict approach and high academic standards.
- Strong belief in the importance of character development and student outcomes.
- Experience in evidence-informed teaching and a passion for pedagogy.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental planning and CPD.
- Background in teaching in a school with a strong focus on academic excellence and inclusion.
- Familiarity with Direct Instruction methods and student-centred learning strategies.
- Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
