The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated PE Teacher specialising in netball and hockey to join our dynamic PE and Games department. This is a unique opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and inspiring educational environment. The role combines teaching, coaching, and pastoral support, offering a valuable platform for career development in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons and coaching sessions in netball and hockey.
- Support the House Team in ensuring the pastoral welfare of all students.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced PE curriculum.
- Encourage and develop students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being through sport.
- Promote inclusivity and participation in all sporting activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Participate in staff development and training programs to improve teaching and coaching practice.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students during sports and physical activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- A strong interest in sport and working with young people.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and teach netball and hockey.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or coaching at a school or college level.
- Knowledge of sports leadership and student welfare.
- Experience with residential or boarding school environments.
- Ability to contribute to the development of a student-centered sporting culture.
