The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality Science teaching that secures excellent outcomes for all students and contributes to the continued success of a high-performing Science Department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher with a specialism in Chemistry and the ability to teach KS5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to KS5 students
- Support the continued success and development of the Science Department
- Foster curiosity and deep scientific understanding in students
- Plan and deliver lessons that are both functional and transformative
- Implement rigorous and thorough methods of assessment
- Promote positive behaviour through strong relationships and clear boundaries
- Contribute to the school's ethos of emotional intelligence and student well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Science teaching and learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a specialism in Chemistry
- Experience teaching Chemistry to KS5 students
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience
- Commitment to high standards of student achievement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in a high-performing Science Department
- Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and assessment strategies
- Experience with behaviour management and student engagement
- Background in emotional intelligence and student well-being
