The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Science and Maths Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a supportive, values-led learning environment. This role offers the potential for middle leadership and a chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible Science and Maths lessons that connect theory to real-world applications.
  • Inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students who may have found mainstream education challenging.
  • Support students in building confidence in their abilities and fostering a lifelong interest in scientific discovery and numerical reasoning.
  • Work closely with professionals, families, and other practitioners to provide a holistic approach to student development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to students’ unique needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in professional development and school initiatives that promote student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science and Maths education.
  • Experience working with vulnerable or challenging young people.
  • Strong knowledge of Science and Maths curricula at KS3 and KS4.
  • Commitment to a values-led, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs (SEN) settings.
  • Leadership experience or interest in taking on a middle leadership role.
  • Familiarity with multi-agency working and holistic approaches to student support.
  • Experience with developing and delivering intervention programmes.
