Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science at KS3 and KS4 with a focus on Chemistry.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student progress and attainment.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts and skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and support.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of the Science curriculum.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and student enrichment opportunities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and improve teaching standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Ability to teach Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with evidence-based teaching approaches and research-informed practice.
  • Background in professional learning and development.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum design and delivery.
  • Interest in innovative teaching methods and student engagement strategies.
