The Opportunity:
As a Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science education to students at Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a chance to inspire the next generation of scientists in a school that values innovation, continuous improvement, and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Develop and implement schemes of learning that align with the school’s commitment to excellence.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance Science teaching across the school.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practice.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM initiatives.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through personalized guidance.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with evidence-based teaching approaches.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching strategies and resources.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- A track record of student achievement and progression.
