Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students from Year 7 through to Year 13.
  • Support the development of strong subject knowledge across all Science disciplines.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and contribute to a vibrant, disciplined classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and personal development.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of curriculum content that aligns with the school's unique ethos.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and achievement.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science degree and QTS or willingness to obtain it.
  • Proven experience in Science teaching at both GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across all Science disciplines.
  • Commitment to the school's values of discipline, knowledge, and student success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at a high-performing school or academy.
  • Background in working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Experience with Teach First or similar programs.
  • Strong leadership and classroom management skills.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, including pastoral care or mentoring.
