Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students from Year 7 through to Year 13.
- Support the development of strong subject knowledge across all Science disciplines.
- Foster positive relationships with students and contribute to a vibrant, disciplined classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and personal development.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of curriculum content that aligns with the school's unique ethos.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and achievement.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science degree and QTS or willingness to obtain it.
- Proven experience in Science teaching at both GCSE and A-Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across all Science disciplines.
- Commitment to the school's values of discipline, knowledge, and student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at a high-performing school or academy.
- Background in working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Experience with Teach First or similar programs.
- Strong leadership and classroom management skills.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, including pastoral care or mentoring.
